The Indianapolis Zoo:Community Tuesdays offers half-off admission, $7, for all ages. Upcoming dates include July 7, Aug. 4, Sept. 1 and Oct. 6. www.indianapoliszoo.com.
Dining:Restaurant.com has $25 certificates for $10.
Free summer movies:Regal Cinema has free G- and PG-rated movies at 10 a.m. every Tuesday and Wednesday. Cinemark has 10 movies for $1 each (or $5 for a full pass). For shows and times, go to www .regmovies.com/nowshowing. Click on the Free Family Film Festival tab, then select Indiana in the pull-down menu.
Indianapolis-Marion County Public Library:The library offers free self-improvement classes, and reading programs for kids. For a list, go to www.imcpl.org.
Discount bookstores:Half Price Books offers the Feed Your Brain reading program, in which children 12 and younger can earn $3 cards to the store.
Office Max and Staples:Both offer a $3 rebate to recycle each used ink cartridge at their stores.
Thrift stores:Look for special tag colors to get deals at Goodwill stores. Usually the color offers you a half-off discount.
