Before taking a stand, read up on the data

The first thing I do after getting a cup of coffee is read the daily prayer in The Star. The June 28 effort was good, seeking blessings to all who farm in this wonderful country and thanking them for their labor in feeding us.

Then I turned to page A8 and read that the climate bill recently passed by the U.S. House would hurt farming and other industries by adding burdensome higher costs to all Americans as a result of higher heating costs, auto costs, shifting labor opportunities and training costs for lost jobs for the political ploy of lowering the amount of carbon dioxide to combat global warming.

Regardless of your political slant, please read other views on this matter. Many articles published by the Science&Public Policy Institute disclaim the data supporting the theory of global warming and there are many who point out that many statements by politicians are erroneous.
