Man dies in Westside stabbing
An Indianapolis man was arrested Sunday afternoon in connection with a stabbing death earlier in the day in a Westside home.
Indianapolis metropolitan police apprehended Mark Miller, 26, about a half mile from a residence in the 1200 block of Farley Drive, where police found Robert Crawford, 23, Indianapolis, about 8:30 a.m. suffering from a stab wound in the neck.Miller was taken into custody by homicide detectives without incident and arrested after questioning, according to an Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department news release.

Crawford was rushed to Wishard Hospital, where he died.Crawford was involved in an argument with Miller, the father of one of his girlfriend’s children, said Sgt. Paul Thompson, an IMPD spokesman.Police think Crawford arrived at his girlfriend’s Westside home and was upset that Miller spent the night there, Thompson said. Police say Miller fatally stabbed Crawford after Crawford chased Miller into a bathroom in the residence, police said.Miller left the scene after the stabbing, according to the release. Neither man lived at the Farley residence.The arrest will be reviewed by the prosecutor’s office next week, police said.
