Great food, but never treated worse in a restaurant in my life. The girl was just plain NASTY to my table. Never be4 have left w/out tipping

I wish Brugge would expand on space and staff. Its packed every time I’m there but Moules Frites is so worth the wait! Highly recommend it.

Goblet of Black and a grilled chicken crepe. Heaven. I bummed some pommes frites of my friend and was sorry I didn’t order some. The dips were something out of the world and I truly enjoyed the garlic mayo and homemade ketchup! I can’t go back there soon enough!

Unusual place for Indy. Went on a Thursday night at 6:30 and was very lucky that we didn’t have to wait. I’m not a beer drinker and was a little disappointed that they don’t have a full bar. Service was so so. Had some cheese to start then on to some mussels. Good but Bonefish are better. Had the Nutella crepe…shared it. Wonderful (roly poly does one too). A little pricey for what we had but I will be back!

Took my daughter to violin lessons in Broadripple this week. While she was there, we took a walk along the Monon Trail and stumbled across this place, Brugge. I had recently heard about it on the Indy.com threads and when her lessons were over we decided to give it a try.

It was Tuesday evening, about 7 o’clock and the place was packed, with a 45-60 min. wait time. OK, whatever, we put our name in and had a seat. Watching all the people come and go, we realized there were empty seats right in front of us at the crepery bar. A quick consult with the maitre’d and we were sitting down ready to eat.

First of all, let me say, this place has great traditional “Brasserie” atmosphere. Kind of loud, but not in an obnoxious way, just energetic. The smells of garlic, onions and the grill were wonderful.

We ordered a beer or two and then got down to business with the food.

Me – Mussels Provencal – 2 lbs. of Prince Edward Island mussels steamed in a broth of shallots, white wine and fish stock, served with french bread and pommes frites with aioli dipping sauce. – stunningly simple and good!

My wife and daughter, both having less adventurous tastes, opted for the crepes stuffed with ham and Nazareth swiss cheese and a large order of pommes frites with mayo, sweet chili sauce and salsa style ketchup – YUMM!

For desert, we all split the Nutella crepe. Delicious and totally decadent!

If you like a fun place to eat that is full of energy and serves good, simple, authentic brasserie fare, this place is for you.

The french fries, or pommes frite, are some of the best in the city. They are served in a paper cone with a choice of about 9 different dipping sauces. Couple that with a good Belgian Wit Bier and you could easily make a meal.

Check it out, you won’t be dissapointed.

There is no doubt that the fries at the Brugge are the truth. The beer is solid for sure and the crepes are tasty. The one thing that the Brugge is missing, is space. Beware of super long waits with medium size parties on a popular evening. This was somewhat expected, but when told that the wait was estimated at 1 hour and 30 mins, and really takes 2 hours and 45 mins, make sure you bring your hard hat because you will be doing some work on some beer.

We had a similar experience there. We were also annoyed to find that when the waiter made a mistake he got cocky and tried to make us pay for the item he brought by mistake. I was very unimpressed.

I went to Brugge for the first time Saturday night with a couple of friends. I had heard it was a popular place so we opted for the call-ahead seating.

FYI: The call ahead seating just puts you on a list. You’ll probably still have to wait a bit. We waited an additional 1:20 after we had called 45 minutes ahead. (They’re doing a much needed expansion in the very near future)

Our food arrived quickly and it was very good (especially the frites). The menu is relatively small but I found several options that I would have easily been happy with.

I also enjoyed the glass of beer I had with my meal that night. We’ll be back, we’ll just bring a snack to keep us satisfied until we get seated.

The best thing Brugge has going is the beer. If you are familiar with Belgian style beers, they simply don’t get better than this. They are brewed on the premises and depending on which variety you choose, they have very complex flavors such as vanilla, citrus, plums, and raisins among others. The food is very complimentary, as it is something that one would find in Belgium and consists of generous helpings of hand cut pommes frites, more commonly known here as french fries, served in a paper cone, which is placed in holes in some tables put there for exactly that purpose along with dipping sauces from homemade ketchup and fresh mayonnaise, to such concoctions as poplar syrup with dijon mustard. If you order the Moules Frites, you receive 2lbs of steamed mussels which come in several varieties of broths that go from the Belgian Classic consisting of dry riesling, stock, and herbs to esoteric mixtures such as the Red Curry consisting of red curry, coconut milk, and Thai basil. They also have a wide selection of crepes, filled with delicacies such as duck and caviar, soups and stews, salads, and sandwiches on french bread. Prices are reasonable and the place has become quite popular, so call ahead to make sure there is room.

I might take a break from being vegitarian just to have some more of the duck confit. Plus there are really great choices for dips on your fries (at least 15?). And crepes—dessert and entree’s. Mussels, which I don’t really eat, but my brother-in-law enjoyed them a lot, and where else in Indy can you get beer and mussels(there’s probably a few, but go along with me on this one..)? The atmosphere is pretty cool too. I hadn’t heard of the expansion, but hope it happens for them there. They def. need more space. Plus the servers are great there too. V. helpful with questions on beer or food (we’ve had Cupcake a couple times, really nice guy, great server). I def. recommend going there, I think it’s worth the money.

Had a great dinner last night with the gf. I had the steak which was salty but still amazing with the “intense beef flavor” that our server had promised. She had the veal and pork meatloaf Mitrailette, which was even better than the steak. The frites were as good as others have raved. I chose The Black beer and it was sensational. A little pricey for sure, but totally worth the treat. It’s a bit crowded indoors and we had a fussy youngster one table away, but none of it detracted from the great food and drink.

This place is truly a gem. There’s wonderful beer and delicious food with primo ingredients at a very reasonable price. The cones of frites (fries) are a great vehicle for the awesome sauces (my favorite is the poplar syrup and French dijon), and the crepes and sandwiches are great as well. It seems a bit frou-frou in theory, but with items like the meatball and meatloaf sandwiches on the menu (plus the beer), it becomes very guy-friendly and a nice date spot. Haven’t gotten to try the mussels yet, but they always look and smell amazing at other peoples’ tables. Next time.

I love the Brugge in the summer when you can sit on the patio. In the winter, it’s a bit too crowded, and the wait is too long (though, rumor has it that they’re expanding). Their beers are fantastic, though in the past 6 months or so the selection has decreased and gotten less exciting (bring back the Thunder Monley and the tripel-dubbel). I love their fries (Frites) with the many fantastic sauces.

Interesting atmosphere and a good place to drink some tasty strong beer. The food leaves me wanting more for the price, but who can resist the wonderful dipping options for the frites?

As clichéd as it might be, in the case of Broad Ripple’s Brugge Brasserie, good things really do come in small packages. I visited this …

This is a great place. The food is a little pricier than some other options in the area, but if you are in need of a burrito as big as your head it is within walking distance. It’s also cheaper than all the restaurants within signt (except the place out back. I haven’t eaten at that one for a LOOOOOONG time). But it is also quite good. I am a fan of the waterzooie fish soup and of the meatloaf sandwich. The meatloaf sandwich has a fancier name, but I can’t remember what it is right now. The mussels are also delicious.

The real star of the show is the beer. These are primarily Belgian style brews, with the occasional pilsner or suchlike. As a result, the alcohol content of your beverege is going to be higher. Watch out for that. It will sneak up on you.

The expansion upstairs will happen, I suppose they are going to have to remodel quite a bit to bring the combined spaces up to code. There is no interior stairway that I know of. That would pose a problem. All good things in all good time!

Our food was awesome and server was polite, but it was so drafty that I had to wear my coat over my sweater throughout dinner. Our food was hot when served but cooled way too quickly. I realize it’s winter and it was really chilly outside, but it was downright breezy inside the restaurant. The curtains and strings of lights on the ceiling were blowing around, so this was not my imagination. Others in my group kept their coats on too. This would be great air circulation for a summer night, but it was unpleasant in the dead of winter. I’ll give Brugge another try when it’s warmer out because we did enjoy the meal (when it was still warm).

If you love fries then you MUST go just to try their L’Enorme fries. Seriously – it comes with 16 different, amazing, gourmet dips!

And don’t even get me started on their crepes … they have any and every sort. Mouthwateringly divine – my favourite was their dessert chocolate + raspberry crepe. Belgian heaven in Broadripple.

Funky, warm atmosphere, too!

I love this place. The late hours, the beer, the Crepes, the Duck Confit, the Pomme Frittes with an arsenal of dipping sauces, the bucket of Mussels!

It is hard to beat consuming a bucket of mussels, a cone of Pomme Frittes, a pint of goodness and watching all the beautiful ladies jog by on a summer evening.

This place is hands down one of the most over looked eateries in Indy!

Do you love French Fries? Are you the w—— at the party who eats all the dip? Well you might just fall in love with this place! Where else in the city can you order a large French Fries for like 4 bucks and have three choices of dipping sauces!?! Or you can order an Extra Large aka as E’normous for 11 and get all the sauces you want for your dipping pleasure! Also salads are very large portions as well!!! And MicroBrews are always on the tap!

Ths place is also owned by one of the cast members of “ER” and “Men In trees” It is a smaller place, but will be expanding soon!
