We ate there last night. The food was good but nothing special. The pizza was a “B” – better than the delivery places but not in the same league with Bazbeau’s. The service was the worst I have ever had anywhere in the past 10 years. Every step from ordering to drink refills to getting the check meant getting up and finding our server. They had 2 servers working and only 5-6 tables were full during the evening so they were not busy at all. Our drinks sat empty most of the time. My wife had two glasses of wine, both of which took 15+ minutes to be delivered. It was awful. I will never go back.

I’ll go there to see if, “si mangia bene”. I do know some very talented staff “per la sala”. Someone might need a good job.

We keep going back there – the food is great – I just dread getting the food and having to send half the stuff back.
I’ve been there over a dozen times and it was always that bumbling waiter going around screwing up orders. We user to sit there and watch him go around and apologize to each table. It was comical.
I heard he was gone so hopefully it will get better. The kids working there don’t appear to care about anything. The only thing I can be guaranteed is that something about the order will be wrong.
During a recent business lunch I really wanted everyone to go there – exepct that I knew something would go wrong and I didn’t feel like apologizing for the restaurant.
I’ll keep going back there once a week to see if it gets better. For their Steven’s sake I hope it does. I don’t care how good your food is, once you lose credibilty with the customers it’s over.

Great food, good prices, but really lousy service. Order the carry out!

Stefano’s truly was love at first bite for me. The pie UNBELIEVABLE. The pasta better than far over priced resteraunts such as Maggiano’s or Olive Garden. Stefano’ a man i have spoken with many times shares his passion for what he does, with a great staff, home style italian recipes behind him this restaraunt will SURELY soar to the top. I hope to see more people dining at Stefano’s for what it is, a very personal, inviting, and delectable establishment.

Thank You

Dr T.

My wife and I thought we’d try Stephano’s since we live right down the street. I had a calzone with cold marinera sauce. The service was horrible and they weren’t even busy. We complained and they did nothing. We won’t be back.

Hello, this is Steven (aka Stefano). My cook, Chase, showed me this review today and he felt it was important to bring to my attention. I thought, why not give “The Facts”. First, I would like to thank those for taking the time and sharing their views, both the good and the not so. Secondly “The Facts”; we try our best to take care of all guests, we are not perfect but improve everyday and learn from mistakes, we want everyone to leave happy with a full belly, and provide great food and service. In addition, our integrity will not allow misrepresentation about our restaurant. This is why, I am writing this review. When any one comes to Stefano’s, we try to get to know them personally. This is obvious from the positive reviews given. However, when the rare occasions of dissatisfaction occur, we try our best to take care of the guest’s expectations, we are fair and do the right thing to make all our guests leave happy. Unfortunately, there are a very few amount, of people that cannot be pleased and will misinform others of all the facts. In response to an earlier review, the Facts are; I am more than a “pizza maker”; I am a Chef and have been a General Manager and Director of Operations for many successful years for National restaurants.
In conclusion, I would like to invite those who have not tried Stefano’s to give us a chance to show, how good our food and service truly is, and to thank those who continue to enjoy there experience at Stefano’s. Thank you to all, my family, staff, friends and guests for making Stefano’s Ristorante successful.

Food was flavorful and the atmosphere was good but the service was something to be desired. Not sure if they were under-staffed or if the waitress was not into her work that night but the promptness had something to be desired.

Overall the food was not bad…less Americanized than others around town and portions were huge.

With some tweaks and training, Stefano’s should be around for a long time to come.

My husband and I eat at Stefano’s about once a week. We usually order pizza one time and two pasta dishes the next. The pizza is always fresh; the plain cheese pizza is the best in town. The pastas, especially the fettuccine alfredo and lasagna, are the best we ever had. The marinara sauce is great especially when dipped with the garlic knots. We enjoy the atmosphere, and Stefano greats us will a warm smile. We wish him and his staff the best. Keep up the good work.

I’ve eaten here twice. I really wanted to like this place, but after nearly identical disappointing dining experiences, I will not be going back. Both times I ordered a pasta dish that appeared to be prepared well in advance and then simply warmed up in the microwave just prior to being served. Both dishes came with browned edges as though cooked thoroughly, yet both were barely lukewarm. The garlic knots are pretty good though. The service is adequate, although the 2nd visit there were a lot of local HS kids running around the kitchen and in the background.

I have been managing restaurants for a very long time. Very seldom am I surprised by the lies and exaggeration people tell about their dining experiences. Especially when it comes to people trying to get free food. Yes, sometimes food and service are bad. Many times the issues are corrected at the table. I most applaud Stefano’s actions; I have seen it too many times. People eat most or all the food from their plate then complain and try to get a free meal. I have eaten at Stefano’s with my family numerous times and have received great portion of food and very good service. I see Stefano (aka Steven) talking his patrons all the time, and never have I seen anyone walk out disappointed. To the person that had the shrimp scampi, you probably ate all the shrimp and unlike “Chain Restaurants” he was not going to buy your food after eating most of it. I applaud Stefano. From the experience my family and I have eaten at the restaurant, I seriously doubt that he was not justified in his actions. If you want great food and service go to Stefano’s Ristorante.

So far i have been to stefano’s on a handful of occasions, i cant get enough of the place. It is affordable, great food, and has a very friendly staff. Most of the time the owner himself will come out and greet you and ask you if everything is ok. It seems very odd that he would do that i really doubt that was him, you must be thinking of another resteraunt.

My wife and I decided to try this place a few weeks ago. She ordered the shrimp scampi at just under $14(which is about the same price for a nicer place like Bravo…but that’s beside the point). When the waitress brought the plate to the table, she spilled the watery sauce all over the table, but quickly apologized and attempted to clean it up. After picking around at the 4 pieces of shrimp on the watered down pasta, my wife decided to tell the waitress that she wasn’t happy with the meal, and would prefer something with a little more flavor. Stefano himself came out with the returned plate and said “Well, you ate the shrimp, so you must have liked it enough to wait until you were finished with those before complaining”. He went on to say that if she wanted more pasta, he could do that but could not give her any meal with meat in it becuase she had eaten the shrimp…all 4 pieces. Even though there was nothing else gone from the plate, with the exception of the watery sauce that was spilt on the table from the waitress.

Stefano, or whatever the owner’s name is, said that since she ate the shrimp we would also have to pay for it.

It is very apparent that it takes more skills to run a restaurant than being a pizza maker for most of your life. Unfortunately Stefano does not have these skills and it shows in his lack of customer service, lack of menu originality, and lack of overall business sense.
