O'Reilly's Bar & Grill (36 S. Pennsylvania St., Indianapolis, IN)
This place is pretty cool. There are TV’s attached to pretty much every wall or column in the place. The menu is pretty small, but they have an above average variety of beers on tap and on a seperate beer menu. The food was good, the beer was reasonably prices. What more could you ask for? There is a cool lounge area with leather couches, if you can get there early enough I recommend trying to grab these.

Shallo's Restaurant & Brewhouse (8811 Hardegan St., Indianapolis, IN)9
Anytime I’m on the Southside I have to stop in at Shallo’s. Like everyone has noted the beer list is really large. The food is good especially the homeade potato chips. Try the “Hot Brown” it sounds disgusting, but it’s actually pretty good. The name cracks me up every time.

Red Robin (365 S. Perry Road, Plainfield, IN)5
I went to the Red Robin at Clay Terrace in Carmel this weekend, and it was packed full of people. First off I was surprised how many kids were in this place. I mean this place was like McDonalds on steroids. Glasses were breaking every five minutes, and it was just insane.
The burgers were great, and pretty inventive. The onion rings are served in a huge pyramid which was pretting cool. The freckled lemonade was really good with huge hunks of strawberry mixed throughout.
One issue I’d like to note, they had the hot dog eating contest from coney island playing on tv’s throughout the restaurant while I was there. I tried not to watch, but my eyes kept traveling to the screen. Anyway, more than a few people got really grossed out, and complained to the already overwhelmed dining staff. It made things a little crazier in an already volatile atmosphere.
All in all, a good burger, good lemonade, and good onion rings a bit pricey. Not a relaxing sit down meal, take your kids and they apparently will have a ball.

Barley Island Brewing Company (639 Conner St., Noblesville, IN)
I really liked this place. They have some really good beers that they make, and they provide a couple of other “offsite” selections. The menu is pretty basic (i.e small). I had the black and bleu burger and waffle fries. It was okay, nothing special, then later on I tried the scotch eggs. These are hard boiled eggs, wrapped in sausage, then breaded and deep fried. They were pretty interesting.
The beers are the main attraction, and the live music. My favorite was the wheat beer, I think it was called the Flat Iron.
If you’re looking to have a beer in downtown Noblesville, then this is the place.

Pizza King (1225 S. 10th St., Noblesville, IN)2
I’ve always been a big fan of Pizza King. The BBQ and ham pizza is awesome, but usually I just go for peperoni and sausage combo, you can’t beat it.
But the breadsticks are the real kicker, deep fried and smothered in garlic butter. Oh yeah heart attack on a plate.

Stone Creek Dining Company (911 Ind. 135 North, Greenwood, IN)2
I enjoyed the dipping sauce with the complimentary bread. It was good, with a kick of tobasco. I had the Rueben sandwich, pretty hard to screw that up. It was okay, kind of dry. They had a pretty good beer selection, and a really large wine list.
After I had three or four different beers the waitress said “I should have asked if you wanted a sampler selection of our beers” I asked “do you do that?” “no” she replied, and that pretty much sums up the meal.
It seems like they’re still feeling thier way along

Buck Wildz (6235 Guilford Ave., Indianapolis, IN)
That used to be the commercial that ran non-stop in Muncie right before BW3 came there. I guess Weck is the special bun that they use for the burgers or something and that’s what the 3rd W stands for in the name. Well, I’ve never had a burger there, and the wings used to be really good, but I went there for the superbowl to grab a bunch of wings, and they were completely overdone.
So my revue would simply state “it used to be a lot better”
Hot BBQ and the garlic ones are my favorites

Cheeseburger in Paradise (4670 Southport Crossings Way, Indianapolis, IN)12
I used to go here specifically for the conch fritters, but they cannot serve them anymore because conch is on the endangered species list or some trash like that. Why is is that the most delicious animals are always on this endangered species list. I’ve heard that fried Dodo bird is to die for.
anyway, the Cuban sandwich is pretty good, and they have live music quite a bit. So it comes up now and then as a possible place to hang out.
